Logo Draft

Logo Draft

This is my logo draft. I’m not satisfied with my bicycle cogs. I used the polygon tool, rectangle too, and layers to get to this point. My road took me awhile to add and I think my final will have a different outline layer completely. I’m going to attempt to draw my own cog and add 15-20 sides to it. I’m trying to represent bicycling. I don’t think this is where I want it just yet. I look forward to feedback from my group to help me get there. I stand to win a free jersey if my design is accepted. The pressure is on!

Final Graphic Design

CYCLE OREGON LITE 2019

My final draft didn’t go as planned. This is the 2019 image postcard for the event. I took advice from classmates and attempted to add text event info to my image, however I ended up with objects accidently placed. My graphic design is a postcard image. My classmates wanted a poster style, this is what I ended up with after hours of tooling around and starting over and over for what felt like one hundred times.

I was unsure what best represented the event, while there is many aspects that are involved, if I was doing a story for a magazine or in my case a postcard, this is what I felt best represented the multi-day events.

I think this would make a great postcard. I hope you enjoy my work. I spent many hours tooling around on photoshop and while I had many other options to choose from, I think the picture best represents not only where we are, but what we are doing too.

Enjoy! Thank you for looking, Please feel free to provide me with any advice or ideas that would help me do even better.

Cycle Oregon Lite, is in black color text. Sadly, covered up with an object. But there none the less. I had fun and see I have a lot of room for improvement to be sure.

Draft Graphic Design Project

I tooled around and have spent hours on photoshop. For this image I applied +brightness/ contrast levels to sharpen. Increased the exposure to +94 and gamma correction to .79. Also, set the vibrance to -13 and increased color sat to +40. Lightness +15.
Image 2, I set the brightness +14 / Contrast+64. Exposure -44, Hue-green -49. I used a sharpen pin layer
This is the ring leader. Ann Morrow. In this image, I'm not sure what I did but it looked cool and I liked the effects.

WELCOME TO MY ‘DRAFT GRAPHIC DESIGN PROJECT’

I decided for my first graphic design project to use my most recent three-day bicycle ride in Eastern Oregon with fellow bikey friends. This project idea relates to the general topics covered throughout the life of my blog. The images included relate to my topic of cycling alone, in a group and the rewards that follow to be shared amongst friends after a grueling day in the saddle, or in this case, multi days in the saddle.

I worked with photoshop to the best of my beginner ability. I worked with tools that included various levels. For more specifics, the images list exact settings used with saturation, contrast, color, exposure, vibrance, hues and sharpen image pin.

The significance of the elements used in my design at this point was to include actual images that are relevant to my experience level at this time and the topic of cycling.

I encountered many challenges with the adobe software. Mostly, because I lack experience with the program. The most important piece of advice I can give anyone who finds this learning process hard, is to watch the videos and be prepared to set aside many hours tooling around. I thought when I uploaded and paid for Adobe, that was it. I swore I had photoshop, just couldn’t access it. It took a week to realize I actually had to download photoshop from Adobe. Yeah, I’m a dork.

It is becoming fun for me finally. Hang in there!
